China Hutch

This was a project I worked on with my sister Monica at Craftynest.  She was working on a makeover project for her place; I helped her make some of the changes.  This is one of the projects I built for her.

Custom Well Cover

My dad came to me with this project; I guess you could say I went a little “Tim Allen” on the idea. He was worried about his well head cover being plowed over by his snow plow guy when the snow piles up.

Tall Pergola

This was a fun but challenging project.  The homeowner wanted to build a tall pergola outside his back door.  It was a full 16ft to the bottom of the first cross beam.

The homeowner first had some concrete squares poured with the mounting brackets installed for the upright posts.  Before starting this project all the beams and posts were primed with primer.

Easy Simple Garden

I love having fresh fruits and vegetables straight from the garden.  The only downside is I move around a lot, usually once a year, depending where I work.  I have lived mostly at apartments, studio apartments on the back of someones property, or renting a room at a house with other friends.

Because of these issues I haven’t been able to Read the rest of this entry »

Tile & Custom Mantle

I completely changed the look of this fireplace.  The original fireplace with the red brick, didn’t match the look of the rest of the room. The homeowner had installed new wood flooring and painted the walls.

Exersize Body Ball Rack

Exersize Body Ball Rack

This is a fairly inexpensive project I did for Sportivo (Coffee Bar with a Gym).  The owner wanted a simplistic way to get the body balls out of the way, up on the wall.  She showed me a design she had seen of another product in a magazine.  I then fabricated this rack out of PVC pipe and fittings.

Slate Tiled Steps With Porch

Since everyone seems to like the slate tile bathroom so much that I did, I decided to post this project. This is actually my neighbor’s front porch. She came up with the size of the slate tile to use, (4x4in & 12x12in) and some what of a pattern she liked from the back porch, she had done a few years ago. The diamond pattern I placed in the middle.

House Flip

S House (4)

This is a house I helped to flip.

The Living Room, Dining Room, and Hallway had carpeting covering the original hardwood flooring. Carpeting was removed, hardwood floors refinished. The existing Mantle around the fireplace wasn’t very functional, so I installed a new one. Custom fit mantle for the homeowners needs.

Custom Mantle

This was part of the House Flip I posted about.

I removed the old wood paneling, mantle, and shelving. It looked terrible, and outdated, and didn’t utilize the space very well. It also had fake gas logs in the fireplace, with a worn out brass screen. I had to move the electrical & cable to the new locations, patch the open drywall areas, texture the walls to match exiting, painted the walls, and installed baseboards.
